Happy Fall Y'all

Sara started swimming lessons
AND
She LOVES it!

She is kicking on her own
and even jumping into the pool!

Her cheering section (right).

She may be a swimmer after all.

Now that Sara is pre-K
she gets to do homework daily
which she loves to do.

She has gotten really good
at writing her name,
coloring in the lines,
and sounding out letters.

Anna had her first 5k race
with mama!

She was good most of the way
but became impatient on the last mile.
Yelling loudly and making fellow runners laugh.

Pre-race photo.  Anna isn't so sure.

Off we go.

We did it!

Not only did we do it...
but we took FIRST PLACE
in mama's age group!

Wowsa!

Daddy and Sara arrived
after the medal ceremony.
The girls were able to snack
on some leftover goodies.

We also completed a Walk for Water
church event.
We walked 3 miles with a water bucket
for communities in Africa
who walk this distance daily
just to get fresh water.

I cannot imagine!

I try to explain to Sara
that there are people who have nothing
not even water.

That is tough for a 3 year old to understand.

And just a few misc pictures...

Bedtime shenanigans

Hide & go seek.

Sisters for life

Anna is now going up the stairs
on the play set
and going down the slide
by herself.

Sara loves to help me pick-up
Anna in her room at the end of the day.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Wildtree Freezer Meal Workshop

When I signed to be a Wildtree rep,
I had no intentions of hosting anything.
I did it purely for the product discount.

Then evenings became more hectic.

After not seeing the girls all day,
they would come home and play on their own
while Matt or I (mostly Matt) cook.

We would rather be playing with the girls
during that precious time before bed.

So...

I hosted my first freezer meal workshop!

The product bundles look like this.
Along with recipes and bag labels not pictured.

And for hosting my own party,
I received ALL of this Wildtree product
for FREE.

A few of my friends did it remotely,
while a few others came to my house
to add the final products to their meals.

I had some products out for tasting.

It was a great time.

And everyone left with TEN
healthy, delicious, and easy meals
to stock their freezers at home.

I can't wait to do this again!

Carova Vacation

We had a beautiful and relaxing trip
to Carova beach.

We stayed at the same house
we stayed at two years ago.

Nana & Papa drove to NC
and we hopped in two vehicles
to drive to the coast.

We arrived during Hurricane Hermine.
The bridges were closed
except for the Wright Memorial Bridge
so we took a detour through Elizabeth City.

We stayed in Kitty Hawk
at the Hilton Garden Inn
on Saturday night.

The waves were HUGE.

On Sunday morning,
we met up with Melissa
for some Duck Donuts
before hitting the road.

We stopped for groceries
and pizza.

Sara posed for a selfie
and instead of saying "cheese"
she decided to hold up her cheese instead.
And then her pepper.

Once we had our food for the week
we hit the road beach.
The drive was so smooth.
Perhaps from the hurricane?

We checked out the
gazebo and beach ASAP.

Sara was told we were at a nude beach
and it sorta stuck.

Sara & Nana
taking a cookie break.

Anna loved getting into everything.

Day 2 had Sara in her PJs ALL DAY.

On the first day,
the big ocean waves scared her
for the rest of the trip.

That... and somebody told her
the waves would sweep her away to South Africa.

Anna loved everything
about the beach, ocean, and waves.

She started saying more words,
sang her first recognizable song,
and even said her first big sentence!

Words:
Bubbles
Nigh nigh
Rock rock
All done
No-no (with a finger emphasis)
Dank Ooo  (thank-you).

Song:
Baa Baa Black Sheep

Sentence:
"I did it."
(said many times after climbing onto the chair by herself).

The wild mustang activity was AMAZING.

We saw them every day
either at/under our house
or on the beach.

During dinner,
we heard loud banging and went outside
to find six mustangs under the house!

I was able to sneak away a couple times
to swim in the waves.
(My happy place).

Lucy had a blast running the beach.

Papa misjudged the big waves
and got his socks and shoes all wet.
Oops.
He found his crocs after that.

Sara loved feeding the birds bread.

And eventually got a little closer
to the ocean (while crying).

After getting all-over muddy together,
Sara & Anna had outdoor bath time
in the baby pool.

Sara loved her side trips with Daddy
to explore and search for horses.

We made it into Corolla
and Nana & Papa took us out for dinner

Many books were read.
Especially Nursery Rhymes,
10 Little Ladybugs (Anna's favorite),
and Sara's God book (her toddler Bible).

Anna had some wild hair.

And made friends with a zebra.

Sara made a sand castle with Papa.

Anna soaked up the snuggle time
with Nana & Papa.

We brought Sara a 100 piece puzzle.

That smart girl put it together
with little help at first
and eventually no help at all.

She put it together over and over.

An innocent time making sand castles
turned into covering Daddy with mud.

We got to see many dolphins.

The weather was amazing.
The temps were perfect.
The house fit our needs completely.
What an amazing vacation!

We are so thankful Nana & Papa
could join us for a second year!
