Lucky Girl

Last night I was stuck in our office
studying for my calculus test.

I was stressed out.
Literally in tears over this test.

Here comes my fiance to the rescue...
with a plate of grilled swordfish, mashed potatos, and apple cider beer!

He is SO good to me!

Stood up

My piano teacher stood me up today!
I would normally be upset.
I pay too much for these lessons.
BUT... considering
I only put in about one hour
of practice time this week,
she is excused.

My week thus far:
I dropped all 150 wedding invites in the mail on Monday.
I completed my first outdoor run (about 4.5 miles).
(I haven't run since.)

My mom's cousin Troy went with the good Lord on Sunday.
Colon cancer.
Now he is perfection
but his family is suffering.
He left behind his wife and two young kids.
It immediatly takes me back to 1998.
I was 17 years old.
November 20th was the day my life changed forever.
I had to grow up FAST.
I can't begin to imagine how my life would be different today,
if mom was still here.
I've never meet anyone else like her.
More than anything, I wish Matt could've met her.
She would have liked him.

Mental Hurdles

Here we are
once again.

The same happened when I was
training for Grandma's marathon.

I get to 5 miles
and I STOP.

It's totally in my head
that I can't run more than 5 miles.

I know this.

Why do I let myself stop?

I wanted to run 7 miles last night.
I stopped at 5.25.

Why???

April Fools!

It's so good to have April back!  March is the worst month for me.  It's always snowy, cold, and too LONG.  When I'm reaching the end of a difficult time - the final stretch seems MUCH more unbearable.  That is March for me.

It is a stressful time in the Snegosky-Boll house.  Matt is studying for his last grad final EVER.  In a week he will officially have his master's degree.  I am working my way through calculus.  It's been a struggle to stay motivated.  We are three months away from the wedding with so much left to do.  I'm trying to learn a new position at work - which came with entirely different struggles than what I was anticipating.  The miles for marathon training are creeping up which means more time at the gym.  I am so thankful for good friends/family.  Kate (Matt's cousin) & I are on a biweekly happy hour schedule.  I would've had a mental breakdown by now if it wasn't for Kate.

I'm not even kidding.
