Our first two weeks as NC residents

were spent driving all over the place

looking at resale homes.

We were in and out

of at least 40 homes.

There were some great prospects.

We had a couple houses narrowed down

until one day we took a wrong turn

and drove past a developement

in the middle of nowhere.

Our realtor was hesitant to stop

but we insisted since we had time.

We were impressed by the size

of the lots and the three car garage options.

(a three car garage is not common here).

We met with Terry, the builder

and Chris, the salesman.

Terry is from Wisconsin.

Chris went to the U of M.

It was meant to be.

Fast forward one month.

We have a signed purchase agreement.

We are customizing our home.

We are choosing features we want.

We are building!

We were able to obtain a double lot.

Our home will sit on just short of a full acre.

We chose a two story model

with a three car garage.

Construction should be complete

by the end of May.
