Sara's Haircut

Sara had her first haircut!

My friend, Melissa visited over the weekend
and since she cuts hair professionally,
I asked her to do Sara's very first haircut.

She obliged!

It was wonderful to have it done at home
with someone I trust completely.
Otherwise, I would have been a wreck.
Sara seemed at ease too!

Melissa looked through Pinterest with Sara
and asked her to pick out a cut she liked.
Sara kept saying, "ooh, look at that one!"
to almost every picture.  Haha.

She leaned more towards the shorter bob styles.

So... that's what we did!

She sat so patiently.
My heart was racing the whole time.

After it was over, I asked her to feel her hair.
Her response, "it's wet".
That was her reaction to her missing 7 inches!

She looked in the mirror
and was all smiles.

She looks like such a big girl!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Sara's birthday fell on Easter this year.

She awoke to birthday balloons
and a new Elsa dress!

We had all the neighbors over on Saturday
for a party and Easter egg hunt.

The weather was BEAUTIFUL
and the day was wonderful.

Sara ate her weight in sugar
and enjoyed playing with her friends
and opening her presents.

Nana and Papa were here to celebrate too!

At church,
the congregation sang "Happy Birthday"
to Sara during the children's sermon.

Mama had fun making a colorful cake.

Regal Corn Maze

Mommy took the girls to Regal Corn Maze
while Daddy setup the backyard for camping.

We met up with the Legaults
and Sara had a blast with Mason.

Besides an awesome corn maze,
they had a corn pit, hay maze, and a hay mountain!

Luckily, Mr. Mike was able to help Sara
navigate the big mountain
since Mommy was wearing Anna in the Ergo.

The corn maze was a lot of fun.
We made it out just before dark.

When we returned home,
Daddy had a bonfire going
and the tent ready
for a camp-out with Sara.

She made it until 10pm
before telling daddy she was "all done"
with the tent.
