All morning on March 27th
I reminisced with Matt
over where we were
exactly one year earlier.
Matt went into work late
so we both could get the birthday girl up.
She was her usual smiley self.
She was greeted in the living room
by a bunch of pink balloons!
Mommy took the day off work.
We had a wonderful day!
We went to Hobby Lobby and Target
to shop for her birthday party on Saturday.
Sara was a good sport
when Mommy made her try on
all the funny birthday hats.
We had fun in the frames aisle
while we searched for painting supplies.
After we returned home,
Sara was delighted to find some birthday cards
in the mailbox.
After Sara woke up from a good nap,
Mommy had painting supplies all ready for her.
She went to work right away on her masterpiece.
She didn't enjoy getting her hands full of paint
but I think she enjoyed playing with all the colors.
Once Daddy got home from work
we opened presents and ate cupcakes.
Sara was very neat with her cupcake.
She only took small bites at one time.
