Sara's First Ski Day

Last February,

we took Sara skiing for the first time.

She is a natural!

She stayed with daddy the entire time

and had big smiles all day.

She rode the magic carpet

and even went on the BIG chair lift!

Family Hike

We had a beautiful Sunday

and drove to Stone Mountain

to hike with the girls.

Sara was in the backpack on daddy.

Anna was in the ergo with mommy.

We already knew Sara loves to ride

in daddy's backpack.

At the top of the mountain,

she gets cookies & water.

She loves it.

Anna did great in the ergo.

It was her first big hike in it.

She alternated between

peeked out to watch the trees

and snoozing.

We took a new route back to the car.

It was a long a creek

and very beautiful.

The last little section

after about four miles

was a huge stairway along a waterfall.

Mom & Dad got a great workout!

Daddy Daughter Day

Daddy gave Mommy a quiet morning

and decided to take Sara to Stone Mountain.

Their adventure started at Bojangles

for breakfast sandwiches.

Daddy did most of the walking.

Sara's first summit

included cookies and water.

She now associates mountains

with eating cookies.

For lunch, they found a waterfall

and dunked their toes.

They headed home around nap time.

Sara didn't make it far

before sleep took over.

First Hayride

Over the weekend we attended

a holiday party in the foothills.

Sara got to experience her first hayride!

She loved watching the tractor

that pulled us in the trailer.

I even caught her star gazing.
