Matt started his new job with Lowe's

I started working remotely.

The house hunt began.

We decided to build our house.

April 2012

Rented a pontoon and relaxed on Lake Norman.

A quick trip to MN for Trabby's (Travis & Abby's) wedding.

Closed on our new house.

Moved into our house.

Got the baby's room ready - for the most part.

A lot of growing in the belly region.

Third Trimester

Already?

YES!

Baby Snegosky is growing right on track.

Only twelve more weeks to go.

I'm feeling kicks galore.

I'm trying to get a video of my belly moving from the outside

but I think baby can sense the camera and stops moving

as soon as I hit "record" (already stubborn, like daddy).

Next week is my 28 week appointment

when I gulp the sugar drink to see if I have gestational diabetes.

I'm glad this test wasn't scheduled until after Christmas

so I could enjoy all the Christmas sweets semi-guilt-free.

After the recent addition of the nursery glider,

I'm feeling pretty good about my preparedness.

I have a list of essentials left to buy

but otherwise we are ready to welcome baby Snegosky.

I'm looking forward to painting the nursery,

putting up decorations,

and learning to sew

with Grandma & Grandpa Snegosky.

And just their company in general.

Christmas 2012

I didn't go all out on Christmas decorating this year.

I think I have good reasons...

I still have boxes to unpack from the move.

We are not going to be home for Christmas and

We have been preoccupied with preparing for the baby.

I did manage to throw up a few Christmas touches

to avoid feeling like a complete Grinch.

All it takes is a little ribbon

and some help from our friends

to make our cherry cabinets festive.

We love Christmas cards!

Big Sissy Duties

As the baby accummulates more gear,

Lucy's job is to make sure Mommy & Daddy

put it together correctly so it's safe for her little brother or sister.

She takes her job very seriously.

Daddy was thrilled to have his picture taken after being sick with the flu.

Angels Among Us

My mom when she was pregnant with Mike (and my aunt Laurie).

I experienced a special moment today

that I want to remember forever.

I was listening to the radio while baking

when baby began moving like crazy.

I sat down to enjoy the movements

(and what I believe were baby's first hiccups that I could feel!).

Matt was able to feel the baby hiccuping too!

As I sat down,

A song came on the radio

that my cousin Amy and aunt Laurie

brought over to my mom's house

the day she found out her cancer was back.

It's a sad memory but a special one too.

A sad time, but we were all together.

What a special moment to have that song play

and to have my mom make her presence known.

Sometimes I need those reminders

that hit me right between the eyes

that she is much closer to us than I think.
