Big Girl School

 

 

This is Sara's last full week with Kandi.

 

I am happy for her

because she's really beginning to enjoy

the company of babies her own age.

 

I'm thankful Sara had this year

with Mike, Kandi, and Mason.

It was exactly what she needed

and what I needed too.

 

Sara loves them

and I know we will continue

to be involved in each other's lives

forever.

Play Date

 

 

 

 

Sara has been spending time

with her new friend Gunnar.

 

They play really well together,

which is great,

because their parents enjoy each other too!

 

 

 

 

 

 



First Concert

 

 

We took Sara to her first outdoor concert.

G. Love and Special Sauce played during Tuckfest

at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.

 

It was a warm day (in the 80's)

We brought...

sunscreen

ice cubes

munchies

summer dress

sun hat

and the Booth family!

 

 

 

Sara & Mommy took some pre-concert selfies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sara beat the heat by sucking on ice cubes

and drinking a lot of water!

 

 

She got a little boost from daddy

so she could see G. Love

 

 

She munched,

and munched,

and munched.

Until we ran out of food!

 

Then she flirted with Gunnar

until he gave her some of his nummies.

 

 

Her first time eating potato chips

and cookies!

 

 

Daddy kept me cool by dunking my toes in the water.

Warm Day Fun

 

Give this girl a bucket of water

and she is occupied for hours.

 



 

 



Swim Date

 

 

 

We had a family swim date

at the Lowe's YMCA.

 

They have a frog slide that Sara tried.

From the huge smile on her face,

I think she enjoyed it.

(Mommy and Daddy enjoyed it too!)

 

 

 

 

After swimming we had lunch at Red Robin.

Sara had a bottle.

  

 

 

 

Don't worry, it was only milk!

  

 

 

 

 

 



Happy Easter

 

 

We didn't have to go far

to see the Easter bunny this year.

The bunny came straight to our house!

Sara is a lucky girl.

 

 

 

 

 

She didn't mind the bunny

at first.

 

After getting a closer look,

she decided she was NOT okay with this.

 

 

After a beautiful Easter church service

we went to Randy's BBQ for lunch.

Sara had her first taste of chocolate milk!

It was also her first time drinking from a straw.



 

 

Sara & mommy played outside

while daddy cooked us an amazing ham dinner.

A. Maze. Ing.

He is so good to his girls.

 

 

 

First Birthday Party

 

 

 

 

Sara had a wonderful turn out

for her birthday party.

 

It was SO MUCH FUN!

We had a rainy day and our house was packed

but Sara loved all the attention.

We now realize we need to make time

for more play dates.
 

 

 

 

 

The rain let up in the afternoon.

All the kids ran outside to play.

 

Sara watched from the deck

and loads of happy yells and kicks.
