Memorial Weekend

We had a great memorial weekend.

Beautiful weather
and quality time spent
with family and friends.

Jeanne came to visit.

Sara kept her busy
with coloring and tea parties.

We were invited to a pool party
at our neighbor's friends house.

Sara swam a little with daddy
and enjoyed the yummy food.

On Monday,
we had another pool party
in Sara's kiddie pool
with her best friend Mo'Mash
(a.k.a Gunnar).

Easter

Before Nana and Papa left,
Sara had a special visitor.

The Easter bunny!

On Easter morning,
Sara's aunt Linda and cousin Allison
were here from Washington.

Sara woke up to eggs scattered
down the hallway and stairway.

She also had two Easter baskets
waiting for her downstairs.

We had a little breakfast
and left for church.

Sara went up to the children's sermon
all by herself!

That's my independent little lady!

After church,
we decorated Easter eggs
before going down for a nap.

After nap,
Sara woke up to find the Easter bunny
had hid Easter eggs
all over the backyard!

We called over her friends
Gunnar and Oliver
to help her find them all.

One of the Easter eggs broke
and Sara had a nice little snack.

Mo' Dubby Dis

Sara has created her own language
and we find ourselves using her words
to communicate with her.

An example of this is
"More dubby dis?"
when she wants something.
(Most often food).

We have no idea what "dubby" means.

We are trying to get her to stop saying it
but we are so used to hearing it
that we say it out of habit!

We went to see Santa
(Sara's first time meeting Santa)

We got a good chuckle
as we were trying to think of what
Sara would ask for when Santa asked
"What do you want for Christmas?"

The only thing we could think of was,
"More dubby dis?"

Sara was in awe of Santa.
No tears
No smiles
Only a wide-eyed stare.

Pumpkin Patch

We have our pumpkins!

We went to the pumpkin patch
with the Booth family.

Sara & Gunnar had a good time
running through the patch.
Gunnar was upset he couldn't lift them.
Sara watched in amusement.

Now to pick out our carving patterns...

Stay tuned!

and fireworks!

Happy Easter

We didn't have to go far
to see the Easter bunny this year.
The bunny came straight to our house!
Sara is a lucky girl.

She didn't mind the bunny
at first.

After getting a closer look,
she decided she was NOT okay with this.

After a beautiful Easter church service
we went to Randy's BBQ for lunch.
Sara had her first taste of chocolate milk!
It was also her first time drinking from a straw.

Sara & mommy played outside
while daddy cooked us an amazing ham dinner.
A. Maze. Ing.
He is so good to his girls.

Anniversary / 4th of July

Our anniversary would not be complete

without the company of Kate & Brent!

They arrived just in time to meet Sara,

spend the evening of our anniversary with us,

and celebrate the 4th of July!

We took our first big outing with Sara

It went great until we all overheated

and Sara became fussy.

Mommy had her first experience

pumping in the car.

The glamorous life of a mommy...

Matt and Brent picked up some big fireworks

to celebrate "'merica".

Thanks for the great time K&B!!!
